Biome Project

 

Introduction:

 

Watch the movie below to get a good feel for the different Biomes!

 

 

 

 

 

Step 1: Research your biome with your group. You may click on the link below to open up a page of

 

helpful links.

Step 2: Take Notes 

 

You can go to http://www.bubbl.us/ and make an Idea Map. Put your notes under each heading

 

 

 

 

Set up the following Headings:

 

  1. Description of the Biome
     
  2. Geographical Location of the Biome
     
  3. Google Map of Area
     
  4. Vegetation
     
  5. Animals
     
  6. Climate
     
  7. Food Webs

 

Step 3: Keep track of your notes, including citations. You need to turn them in with your final project.

 

Step 4: You can download pictures by:

 

 

a. Rolling over the picture

 

b. Right click and select Save Picture As

 

c. Remember where you saved the picture .

 

 

 

Step 5: Interesting Additions

b. Create or draw a food web that exists in your biome.

Review the assignment sheet handed out in class about possible projects to share . You have your notes, your pictures...you are ready! In addition to a report, poster, brochures, you may want to use one of the media tools listed below. If you decide do a media rich project at home be sure to save it and bring it to class on a flash drive or burn it on a CD.
